Zusammenfassung:Systems and methods for calibration of retinal prosthetics in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. A closed loop calibration process is described whereby a multi-electrode stimulation regime can be calibrated to a given user's retina. Multi-electrode stimulation can provide increased stimulation selectivity, but significantly increases complexity. Systems and methods described herein provide computational steps that significantly reduce the amount of trials and computation required in order to achieve clinically viable selectivity, making closed-loop calibration of retinal prosthetics possible in significantly less time than open-loop calibration.
