Zusammenfassung:A method and system for accessing a network slice specific random-access channel resources pool at a user equipment is presented. The user equipment is in connected-mode with an inactive state and triggers a random-access procedure for resumption of a radio resource control connection. Therefore, at least one slice identifier from a non-access stratum layer to an access stratum layer is provided and at least one network slice to use for the radio resource control connection is determined based on the provided at least one slice identifier.
