Zusammenfassung:	A plunger device for a drug delivery device is disclosed. The plunger device includes a plunger rod having a proximal end and a distal end configured to be attached to a stopper. The plunger device further includes at least one tracking element operatively connected to an outer surface of the plunger rod, the at least one tracking element extending along a longitudinal axis of the plunger rod. The plunger device also includes at least one power supply operatively connected to the at least one tracking element, and at least one current sensing device operatively connected to the at least one power supply and configured to detect an electrical contact established between the at least one tracking element and a conductive element external to the plunger rod.
