Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are novel curable acrylic modified polyesters comprising the reaction product of 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclo butanediol (TMCD) modified by a polycarboxylic acid anhydride. The curable acrylic modified polyesters have particular utility for use in waterborne coating compositions containing a crosslinker. Such waterborne coating compositions provide a good balance of desirable coating properties for metal packaging applications.
