Zusammenfassung:	A position sensor including a supporting structure bearing two elements capable of translational movement relative to one another in a first direction, namely a magnetic-field-emitting element for generating a magnetic field, and a magnetic-field-detecting element. The magnetic-field-emitting element is arranged in such a way that an orientation of the magnetic field, which orientation is considered in a first plane orthogonal to the first direction, changes as a function of a distance separating the first plane from a first end of the magnetic-field-emitting element. The magnetic-field-detecting element is configured to produce a signal indicative of the orientation of the magnetic field. A brake and an aircraft are equipped with the position sensor.
