In one embodiment, the present invention relates to a method to determine one or more chemical and/or physical properties in a water storage facility vessel and/or a water treatment facility vessel and then use such one or more chemical and/or physical properties to determine where, if need be, any sand or other sediment needs to be removed from any such water storage facility vessels and/or a water treatment facility vessels.
