Zusammenfassung: | Aspects provided herein provide methods, systems, and a non-transitory computer storage media storing computer-useable instructions for packet data network device handling in a resource constrained network. A resource constrained network may be an extra-terrestrial network with limited bandwidth. This limited bandwidth may cause the typical process of establishing a default data bearer before establishing an IMS bearer unfeasible, as too much bandwidth may be used by the default data bearer. Aspects discussed below provide a mechanism to establish an IMS bearer without establishing a default data bearer. The method begins with determining a public land mobile network (PLMN) associated with a base station which a UE is attempting to connect to. Then, based on a determination that the PLMN associated with the base station does not allow connection with a PDN data bearer, a PDN connectivity request is communicated with an IMS bearer and without a data bearer. |
