Zusammenfassung:A method, apparatus, and computer software product are provided for use with an x-ray image acquired in the course of a procedure performed with respect to a skeletal portion within a body of a subject. The method includes (A) acquiring 3D image data of at least the skeletal portion, (B) inserting a portion of a tool into the skeletal portion, and (C) while a portion of the tool is disposed at a location with respect to the skeletal portion: acquiring an x-ray image in which the portion of the tool and the skeletal portion are visible, generating from the 3D image data a Digitally Reconstructed Radiograph (DRR) corresponding to the x-ray image, and generating a combined image by combining the x-ray image with the DRR.
