The ear lifter has a support rail with a first end for attachment to the cutter bar, a stalk lifter connected to a second end of the support rail and a locking lever, wherein the locking lever has a support surface for support on one of the finger guards and can be fixed in at least two positions relative to the support rail in order to set a distance between the finger guard and the support rail.
