Zusammenfassung:	Methods and compositions for the treatment of wounds and ulcers in patients, in particular those patients suffering from chronic, non-healing wounds and ulcers. Fibrinogenases, such as plasmin show utility in decreasing plasma and or blood viscosity resulting in improved wound and ulcer healing in patients. The fibrinogenase may be one selected from the group consisting of an α-fibrinogenase, a β-fibrinogenase, a γ-fibrinogenase, a metallo-α-fibrinogenase, allium-α-fibrinogenase, a plasmin, and combination thereof.
