Zusammenfassung:	A method for producing a polymeric nanofiber aggregate comprises the steps of: dispersing a specific water-insoluble self-assembly compound in one solvent of a specific organic solvent and a mixed solvent of the organic solvent and water to obtain a gel-like composition; replacing the organic solvent in the gel-like composition with water to obtain a water-replaced gel-like composition; squeezing the water-replaced gel-like composition by compressing the water-replaced gel-like composition in a plurality of directions substantially orthogonal to a longitudinal direction while setting the water-replaced gel-like composition free in the longitudinal direction to obtain a self-assembly fiber bundle; and polymerizing the self-assembly compound in the self-assembly fiber bundle to obtain an aggregate formed of polymeric nanofibers oriented in the longitudinal direction.
