Zusammenfassung:	A display device includes: a display panel that includes a display area that displays an image on a front surface and a peripheral area located outside the display area, and that projects light incident on a back surface from the display area as display light that represents the image; a heat sink disposed to face the back surface of the display panel; a light-transmitting member held between the display panel and the heat sink; and a temperature sensor disposed in the peripheral area of the display panel to detect a temperature of the display panel. When viewed in a direction perpendicular to the front surface of the display panel, the temperature sensor does not overlap with at least one of the heat sink or the light-transmitting member.
