Zusammenfassung:	A linear actuator includes an electric motor and a linear motion conversion mechanism. The linear motion conversion mechanism includes a screw shaft and a nut screwed into the screw shaft, and is configured such that the nut moves linearly according to a rotation of the screw shaft. The screw shaft is provided with a hole coaxial with an axis of rotation in this linear actuator. Then, the electric motor and the linear motion conversion mechanism are axially aligned by inserting the distal end portion of the motor shaft, which is coaxial with the rotor of the electric motor and rotates integrally, into the hole.
