Zusammenfassung:A vehicle control system for operating a driving function for the automated longitudinal and/or lateral control of a motor vehicle at a traffic node. The system includes sensors that provide situational data, and a control unit. The control unit identifies a lane in which the vehicle is located, in an approach road to the node, based on the situational data. The control unit determines whether at least one signal generator of a signaling unit of the node is relevant to a driving maneuver of the vehicle at the node, based on the identified lane. The control unit operates the driving function at the node based on whether at least one signal generator is relevant to the driving maneuver of the vehicle at the node.
