Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure provides nootkatone-containing compositions and methods of using the same for repelling bugs or insects. A bug or insect repellent composition comprises nootkatone or an analogue or derivative thereof; and a carrier. The composition can further include a dispersing agent, a solvent, a synergist or functional enhancer, and/or other functional ingredient. A method of repelling insects and bugs comprises applying the composition according to the present disclosure to a subject, surface, substrate, space, or a location, whereby the insects or bugs are repelled or prevented from attaching thereto.
