Zusammenfassung:	A method for wireless communication with a domestic appliance includes the following steps: transmitting radio signals by way of the domestic appliance; receiving the transmitted radio signals by way of multiple gateways; ascertaining an indication of a quality of the received radio signals by each gateway; transferring the indications to the central location; selecting one of the gateways based on the indications; and setting up a wireless communication connection between the domestic appliance and the selected gateway.
