Zusammenfassung:	A method for manufacturing a syringe is described. The syringe includes a barrel having an open proximal end, a piston shaft having proximal and distal ends, and a piston having a longitudinal axis and opposing proximal and distal axial ends. Initially, a partially formed piston body is molded. The piston is then completely molded. The distal end of the piston shaft is engaged with the proximal axial end of the piston. The piston engaged with the piston shaft is received in the open proximal end of the barrel.
