The light detection apparatus includes: an effective region that extends along a first plane and includes a first photoelectric conversion unit; and a peripheral region provided adjacent to the effective region along the first surface. The first photoelectric conversion unit detects light in a first wavelength range to perform photoelectric conversion. The peripheral region includes a structural body spaced apart from and adjacent to the first photoelectric conversion unit. The structural body has the substantially same configuration as an entirety of the first photoelectric conversion unit or a portion of the first photoelectric conversion unit.
