The method may comprise providing a radio unit (RU) with one or more reference signals for phase alignment. The one or more reference signals may be associated with one or more transmission paths of the RU. The method may comprise transmitting, to the radio unit (RU), a response signal control message for a response message. The method may comprise receiving, from the RU, the response message. The response message may include, for each transmission path of the one or more transmission paths of the RU, a path identifier (ID) and a response signal for a reference signal corresponding to the path ID.
