At least one light source channel inputs into an edge face of a primary transmissive optical element. Specific embodiments include a double edgelit configuration and configurations with both edgelit and direct lit light source channels. An optional auxiliary optical element provides additional light distribution control and improved brightness uniformity and visual appearance.
