Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a method for preparing a prehydrolyzed polysilicate in which a polysilicate is applied as a reactant during synthesizing a prehydrolyzed polysilicate, and the polysilicate is hydrated in the presence of an alcohol-based compound formed through the hydration of a compound of Formula 1 without the injection of a separate alcohol-based solvent:R1-Si-(OR2)3 [Formula 1]wherein: R1 is an alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of 3 to 20 carbon atoms, or vinyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms; and each R2 is independently an alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms.
