WATER TREATMENT FACILITY AND METHOD

The invention pertains to the technical field of water treatment. The invention relates to a water treatment facility comprising: supply means A for feeding the water to be treated; optionally a coagulation and/or flocculation zone Z into which the supply means A for feeding the water to be treated E run; a flotation reactor RFLO comprising an inlet and a gravity filter Fg, into which water from the flotation reactor RFLO can flow by gravity, the gravity filter having a single-layer filtering media bed distributed over a height of 1 m or less. The facility comprises at least one high-rate monolayer filter (HRMF) for filtering the flotation-filtered water from the gravity filter Fg. A facility according to the invention can comprise a desalination and/or potabilization unit using membrane treatment, in particular reverse osmosis, in order to desalinate and/or make the pretreated water from the high-rate monolayer filter drinkable.
