Zusammenfassung:According to one embodiment, an operation device, such as printer or the like, includes a display screen, a storage unit, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to detect an error of the operation device and generate a code symbol for display on the display screen. The code symbol encodes at least one of information related to the detected error or a URL of a web service associated with the detected error in the storage unit. The web service is provided by a web server. The control unit is further configured to display the generated code symbol on the display screen.
