Zusammenfassung:An optometry device for binocular testing of the eyes of a subject, including a binocular refraction test unit with a first optical refraction element adapted to provide different vision correction powers along a first optical axis and a second optical refraction element adapted to provide different vision correction powers along a second optical axis, and a display system for providing a first and a second test images, the first test image being conveyed to the first optical refraction element along a first optical pathway and the second test image being conveyed to the second optical refraction element along a second optical pathway. The first and second test image being provided with details smaller than 1 arc minute, over a field of view of at least 8° in horizontal directions, the first and second optical pathways having a length between 25 and 100 centimeters.
