Zusammenfassung:	A display panel and an electronic device are provided. The display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate disposed opposite to each other, and a sealant between the first substrate and the second substrate. The light-shielding layer is located on a side of the second substrate facing toward the first substrate, and grooves are defined at positions where the sealant is. The grooves penetrate the light-shielding layer to block a path of water vapor entering the display panel through the light-shielding layer, thereby easing a problem of the intrusion path of the water vapor in current liquid crystal display panels.
