The disclosure relates to systems and methods that include using a plurality of reactors for the conversion of a stream of ammonia (NH3) to hydrogen (H2) and nitrogen (N2). The stream of ammonia is heated prior to introduction into each reactor. The reactors can be adiabatically operated.
