Zusammenfassung:	A charging system that performs power supply suitable for charging a capacitor of a portable terminal without being limited by the power supply capability of an external power source. The charging system includes a charging device that charges the portable terminal with power from an external power source such as a personal computer. This charging device includes a secondary battery and a power transmission coil. The charging device also includes a power supply control unit that performs: control of charging of the secondary battery with power from an external power source; and control of charging of the capacitor of the portable terminal via the power transmission coil with power from the secondary battery.
