Zusammenfassung:	In a novel method and composition of heterodissemination technology, small mammals attracted to a food bait in a dissemination station acquire electrostatically charged acaricide laden microspheres that can he polymeric nano-porous microspheres loaded with one or more chemical acaricides, or calcium or sodium alginate microspheres that encapsulate an entomopathogen. Microspheres loaded with either type of acaricide kill ticks on the small mammals that acquire them, and when shed along small mammal pathways and in their dens, they also kill free-living ticks.
