Zusammenfassung:	In a method for operating a drive system having a plurality of inverters, a respective electric motor is fed from the AC-side terminal of the respective inverter, the DC-side terminals of the respective inverters are connected in parallel with one another and this parallel connection is connected to the DC-side terminal of a rectifier, each inverter has semiconductor switches driven according to a respective pulse width modulation, the inverters are arranged as bus subscribers of a data bus to which a module designed as master is also connected, and the master assigns the bus addresses to the inverters and thereafter to each inverter the polarity of its pulse width modulation.
