The device may include: a valve seat; a sealing element; and an electromagnetic actuator having a pole core, a solenoid, and an armature coupled to the sealing element, wherein the actuator moves the sealing element along an axis as a function of an electric current in the solenoid. A surface of the pole core and a surface of the armature conjointly form a double cone.
