Zusammenfassung:	A marine vessel lighting system and a method of operating the same. The marine vessel lighting system may include a marine vessel having a switch, a light device that is configured to be coupled to the marine vessel to electrically couple the light device to the switch, and a processor. The lighting system may be configured to operate such that upon the switch being actuated from an off state to an on state, the processor is configured to activate the light device in accordance with a first mode of operation. Furthermore, upon the switch being actuated from the on state to the off state, and then from the off state back to the on state prior to elapse of a predetermined period of time, the processor is configured to activate the light device in accordance with a second mode of operation that is different than the first mode of operation.
