Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method for producing water-absorbent resin particles, the method including crosslinking a polymer by a surface crosslinking agent by reacting the polymer with the surface crosslinking agent in a mixture of a powder of polymer particles containing the polymer and a crosslinking agent solution containing the surface crosslinking agent and water, in which the surface crosslinking agent includes an alkylene carbonate, a use amount (mass) of the surface crosslinking agent is 0.00110 or less with respect to a mass of 1 of a total amount of solid contents of the polymer particles, and a content (mass) of the alkylene carbonate is 0.009 or more and 0.027 or less with respect to a mass of 1 of water in the crosslinking agent solution.
