Zusammenfassung:	A phototherapy method includes delivering a photosensitizer to a patient to accumulate in target treatment tissue. The target treatment tissue is illuminated with light from an illumination source in a wirelessly powered illumination device thereby photoactivating the photosensitizing agent. The combination of oxygen in cells of the target treatment tissue and the photoactivated photosensitizer generates cytotoxic reactive oxygen species which destroys cells in the target treatment tissue.
