A method for wireless communication includes the steps of receiving common timing advance (TA) information indicated by a base station (BS) and determining a common TA value of an uplink (UL) transmission according to the common TA information and time instant information. A method for wireless communication includes the steps of transmitting common timing advance (TA) information indicated by a BS to a user equipment (UE) and scheduling a UL transmission, the common TA information and associated time instant information being adapted to determine a common TA value of the UL transmission of the UE.
