Zusammenfassung:	A mounting device for mounting a sensor on a vehicle component, including a mounting base with an opening for a receiving element of a sensor and at least one securing mechanism. The mounting base or the securing mechanism includes at least one fastening receptacle, and wherein the at least one securing mechanism or the mounting base has at least one fastening element, wherein the at least one securing mechanism is secured to the mounting base by arranging the at least one fastening element in the at least one fastening receptacle. The at least one securing mechanism is configured to secure a sensor arranged on the mounting base at least in the axial direction. The at least one fastening element and the at least one fastening receptacle form a rotary closure by inserting the at least one fastening element into the at least one fastening receptacle and rotating the securing mechanism.
