Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a viewing angle control system and a display device that are capable of providing a bright and easy-to-see image in a desired direction, shielding light from the image in a direction other than the desired direction, and limiting reflected glare on window glass, and an optical film therefor. The optical film of the present invention includes a light absorption anisotropic layer formed of a liquid crystal composition containing a thermotropic liquid crystal compound, a dichroic substance, and an interface improver, in which a content of the dichroic substance is 10.0% by mass or greater with respect to a total mass of a solid content of the liquid crystal composition, and an angle θ between a transmittance central axis of the light absorption anisotropic layer and a normal direction of a surface of the optical film is 5° or greater and less than 45°.
