The multi-directional catheter guard can include an expandable enclosure that expands and closes for fitment, encompassing a catheter tubing in a direction corresponding to patient anatomy. The multi-directional catheter guard may also include a friction material that resists lateral movement of the multi-directional catheter guard from an attached position on the catheter tubing.
