Zusammenfassung:	Methods of assessing the suitability of a fluorochrome panel for use in generating flow cytometer data are provided. Methods of interest include obtaining a fluorochrome panel, an instrument identifier and a spectral matrix associated with the fluorochrome panel and the instrument identifier. The subject methods also include calculating an inverse matrix from the obtained spectral matrix, and identifying fluorochromes in the fluorochrome panel that would be associated with variance in flow cytometer data generated using the fluorochrome panel by analyzing the calculated inverse matrix to assess the suitability of the fluorochrome panel for use in generating the flow cytometer data. Systems and non-transitory computer readable storage media for practicing the invention are also provided.
