Zusammenfassung:	A communication device, method, and computer program product provide power efficient transmit diversity using two transmit chains to meet a transmit power level for an uplink signal when one transmit chain is insufficient. In response to determining that the first transmit power level is equal to or less than the transmit power capability of at least one of a first transmit chain and a second transmit chain, the communication device configures a corresponding one of the first transmit chain and the second transmit chain to transmit the uplink channel with at least the first transmit power level.
