Zusammenfassung:	A mobile object including a first sensor configured to detect a target object in surroundings, recognizes and sets a user; acquires a predicted path indicating a future path of the user that has been set, based on a movement of the user and an output from the first sensor, and generates a path of the mobile object to lead the user on a forward side of the user, based on the predicted path; and causes the mobile object to travel in accordance with the path that has been generated, and upon detection of a change in a moving direction of the user, based on the output from the first sensor, modifies the generated path to cause the mobile object to move to the forward side of the user in accordance with the moving direction that has been changed.
