Zusammenfassung:Various embodiments of the teachings herein include methods for coating a fiber material with manganese oxide. For example, a method may include: applying a manganese oxide precipitate to the fiber material; drying the manganese oxide precipitate; and oxidizing the manganese oxide precipitate using an oxygen plasma at a temperature below 200° C. forming a manganese(IV) oxide layer having at least 70% by weight with respect to the manganese oxide precipitate.
