Zusammenfassung:	There is provided a non-excited operation type brake for a brake device that is configured to allow rotation of a motor shaft when energized and that is configured to stop the rotation of the motor shaft when de-energized, including: a casing that is configured to function as a yoke and that includes a coil accommodating portion having a substantially U-shaped cross section and formed in an annular shape as a whole. The casing further includes an auxiliary yoke that has a substantially cylindrical shape and that is fitted inside the coil accommodating portion, the auxiliary yoke being separated from the coil accommodating portion.
