The external apparatus has a main body unit disposed in the anaerobic chamber and an operation unit disposed outside the anaerobic chamber. The main body unit is configured to perform a predetermined process onto the cell culture container. The operation unit is configured to transmit or receive a signal associated with the predetermined process to or from the main body unit by wireless communication.
