The compositions can be pharmaceutical compositions or nutraceutical composition 5 that are used for treatment and prevention of urate and hyperuricemia associated diseases such as cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, chronic kidney disease, gout, insulin resistance, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, renal insufficiency, obesity, pre-diabetes and diabetes.
