Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides an aqueous dispersion prepared by dispersing in water an olefin-α, β-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer having a relatively small amount of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid by using ammonia, and provides a production method for the aqueous dispersion. Specifically, the aqueous dispersion is an aqueous dispersion composition of a copolymer comprising an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or an ester thereof as a constituent unit, the composition comprising ammonia, the copolymer having a heat of crystallization of -30 J/g or less, and the copolymer being present in an amount of 10 to 50 mass%.
