Zusammenfassung:A band saw including a housing, a motor, a drive pulley configured to receive torque from the motor, and a plurality of driven pulleys rotatably coupled to a plate, in which the plate is coupled to the housing for sliding movement. The band saw further includes a cavity within the housing and located between the drive pulley and the plurality of driven pulleys and an endless saw blade wrapped around the drive pulley and the plurality of driven pulleys. A first of the driven pulleys is rotatable about a first axis oriented perpendicular to the plate. A second of the driven pulleys is rotatable about a second axis that is obliquely oriented relative to the plate to impart a twisting movement to the saw blade about an oblong path defined by the saw blade, prior to the saw blade passing through the cavity.
