Zusammenfassung:	A pacifier and teething toy assembly includes a shield and a pacifier removably and reversibly coupled to the shield. The shield includes a collar and a first channel for receiving a ridge of a base plate of the pacifier. The shield further includes at least one opening through the shield and a second channel in communication with the at least one opening. The pacifier includes a nipple that is manipulatable or foldable between an extending use position and a collapsed storage position. In the storage position, an exposed portion of the nipple is received in a cavity in the shield to protect the nipple from external contaminants. The pacifier also includes at least one opening and a channel in communication with the at least one opening. The openings and channels of the shield and pacifier cooperate to define an air path through the assembly.
