Zusammenfassung:	An image capturing apparatus includes an image capturing section for performing image capturing, an image capturing mode-determining section, and an installation place-identifying section. If an identified installation place of the apparatus and an installation place registered in advance match, the image capturing mode registered in advance in association with the identified installation place is determined as an image capturing mode to be used for image capturing. If image capturing modes are registered in advance in association with one installation place, one of the modes is selected and determined as an image capturing mode to be used for image capturing. Each mode is different from others in at least one of moving image/still image selection, an image capturing repetition period, a resolution, a frame rate, execution/non-execution of panning/tilting, and a driving range of panning/tilting.
