Zusammenfassung: | An apparatus uses optical components arranged as a telescope to simulate the optical effects of intraocular lenses on images viewed in the presence of scattering light and glare sources. By simulating a view of a real image through an intraocular lens and projecting the simulated view into a patient's eye, the patient can view the quality of vision that may result from use of a particular lens as a corrective tool. The intraocular lens is placed within the fields of view of peripheral optical components having prescribed operating parameters that allow for projecting a simulated image through an intraocular lens into a patient's eye before the intraocular lens is implanted. The patient can perceive the results of a corrective lens before that lens is attached to or implanted within the patient's eye. |
