Operations of a system can comprise evaluating a capability of a mobile device. The operations can also comprise assigning a first group of port combinations for the mobile device based on the capability of the mobile device being a first capability and a second group of port combinations for the mobile device based on the capability of the mobile device being a second capability, resulting in a port combination assignment. The port combination assignment can mitigate a peak-to-average power ratio value.
